behind the lens:

Hi! I'm Marissa and I'm the one behind the lens at Serene Sky Studios.

I earned my Bachelor's degree in Photojournalism from Minnesota State University Moorhead. I currently work as the Social Media and Content Coordinator for the Cedar Park Scheels.

​

I'm originally from Florida, but my family and I moved to North Dakota in 2013, and now I'm embracing Texas-living! I love to travel, so don't be afraid ask me to get involved with your destination weddings and elopements!

I spend my free time in the sports photography world. My favorite part about the job is telling the story of the day through emotion and capturing the candid moments, and that's exactly what I love to do for all of my portrait clients and couples as well!

With my photography background stemming from the journalism world, my style is very true-to-life and accurate to what things really looked and felt like on the day, with a touch of warmth.
